Wizarding World of Woodstock returns on Thursday, August 9, 2018!

Join us as once again as we transform the Woodstock Square Historic District into a world of enchantment. This all-ages event features games, crafts, shopping, amazing food and all manner of entertainment.

Costume contest and parade
Scavenger hunt
Wizardy crafts
Quidditch (the Loyola Lumos Quidditch Team is returning!)
Woodstock Square stores "dressed" in their wizardry best Plus, we're closing the Square to traffic this year, which allows us to have plenty of new, awesome events and activities:

Wandering magicians
More photo-ops
More food and drink options
Fantastic beasts
A "new and improved" sorting hat
Here's our latest confirmed event: we'll be closing out our events on the Park in the Square with an outdoor screening of Marvel's "Doctor Strange!" We appreciate that Doctor Strange becomes Sorcerer Supreme by spending a lot of time in the library, reading and studying hard. We also like Master Wong - the Beyonce-loving Magic Librarian. According to the MPAA, this movie is rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and action throughout, and an intense crash sequence. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray to enjoy this marvel of movie magic.

OWLS! Owls have always liked wizards, and we're excited to say that the McHenry County Conservation District and Wings And Talons are bringing their owls! Our friends at the Mixin Mingle are generously re-imagining their space to ensure that everyone who wants to see the owls this year gets a chance. We expect to have owls on display for the entire event from 4-8 p.m.

Here are some items we will be carrying at the event.
